It goes completely against the spirit of the art competition, its like taking a pre made painting off of a wall and submitting it.
WebThe problem is entering it into competition with other artists. It's a digital art competition. The prompt writer did nothing more than a glorified Google image search on an AI. They don't need to understand lighting, composition, perspective, color theory, etc to make the art. The AI pieces all that together from actual art it has analyzed. If only he were using this to make a point about how AI art can’t be distinguished by humans anymore and thus it mustn’t be allowed, but nope the guy just wanted to collect his check. Unlike photographs, the point of AI art is to *be* the replacement of regular art.
