If this sensor opens your car will not feel the need to give you light. Just being helpful as Caddy's do. If I remember correctly, this will also cause the headlight Sentinal to not work correctly. WebOne test to do is turn on the car's headlights and open the door. You should hear a chime when you open the driver door. One other thing is to unlock the doors with the remote if you have a remote open the driver door, get in the car but don't put the key in the ignition. The doors might relock after 15-20 seconds.

Web6 feb. 2024 · The issue is that the interior lights do not come on when a door is opened. As I said, it's been intermittent - works perfectly for a few weeks then not at all for a few more. The car does have genuine illuminated sill plates fitted so these could be implicated. One time I noticed it throwing a bit of a fit with the interoir lights flickering. Web27 okt. 2005 · The switch (it used to be a plunger type switch on older cars at the door hinge) that controls the interior lights is inside the door panels. Evidently this switch is either sticking or went bad. My 99 RX does the same thing intermittently. This has been discussed on this forum before, but I don't remember how much it costs to replace.

Should be labeled right side lights or something like that. That fuse is probably blown and you probably have an aftermarket stereo with a wire thats not connected and is in there tapping something metal and shorting the circuit.

Start the car, and press and hold the center map light till it flashes. Ur console will display auto light on. As for the trunk. Still searching on that fix. Done that at least a hundred times. Nothing works. Still says it's on Auto. But will not work when opening the door or unlocking the doors. I'm thinking battery.
