"old data": 38 spec, 6" barrel 148 LWC (tgt) 1.200 oal 2.6 gr 829 fps. from my 6" 14-7 (38 spec): 148 hbwc 1.165 oal 2.8 gr 730 fps (typical "seated flush" 148 hbwc load)
WebJun 3, 2024 · These loads are from the 1998 Accurate reloading manual. The first one is AACF, w209 primer, waa12 or DR118 wad, and 21.5 gr. SOLO 1250, 1200 FPS and 9800 PSI. The second one is Federal Gold Medal (Federal Top Gun with wound paper basewad), 12S3 wad, Fed209A primer, 25.5 gr SOLO 1250, 1200 FPS and 8300 PSI. The data is for Royal Scot Powder(No D in it) But I have read the data is the same. I may be wrong though so look further for true data.
