WebOct 11, 2024 · Stihl with the large "boss" the bar actually sets on is probably a better idea than a straight stud that eventually loose it's threads more towards the bar .In addition the larger hex nut as opposed to the earlier flat nut is a better option .The nuts get worn out on a high usage saw eventually so it might not be a bad idea to change them periodically .
